![]() ![]() Before we bought the house the old seller did some basement repairs which included an update to the sump system (new pumps in the existing pit as well as French drains along the perimeter of the basement) and it appears that the system drains into a dry well right outside the basement (you can see the overflow drain in the picture with the sump pump stuff) although I don't know if that dry well was added with the new pump or if it was with the preexisting system Some background: I've lived in the house for 5 years, and the neighbor has lived in theirs for 6, and this is the first I've heard of this being a problem. ![]() Any and all help to fix the problem is appreciated! Based on details outlined below, I'm curious who's responsibility it is for the yard drainage, what potential steps either/both of us could take to mitigate the problem, and what kind of professional to call to fix it. My neighbor came over yesterday to say that my sump pump was constantly draining into his yard and causing damage to a certain section of it between our houses. Hello all! The title pretty much says it all. ![]()
